Ellen Messer

Ellen Messer is Visiting Associate Professor at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy,

Tufts University and was formerly Director of Brown University's World Hunger Program. She has also taught at Yale, Brandeis, and George Washington Universities. An anthropologist, she received her doctorate from the University of Michigan, and has been writing about "food wars" since 1988.
